There are tons of "mommy blogs" out there, hey JavaCupcake could even be considered a mommy blog! Kim at momyear.com was inspired during her pregnancy by reading the blogs of moms, she said it helped her get through the hard times and now, she's giving back to the mom bloggers community! She has taken it upon herself to highlight a new mommy blogger everyday for the next year! And guess who is Day 9 on the blog?? That's right, JavaCupcake.com is!!!  Thank you Momyear.com for the honor!

Betsy loves everything about cupcakes. She’s also a stay at home mom of a 10-year-old girl and an Army Wife.  In her blog, Java Cupcake, Betsy shares recipes and photos of her homemade cupcakes In addition, she highlights cupcake accessories and themed products.

I find this blog to be a breath of fresh air on the cupcake front. Not every cupcake is perfectly decorated so there is no intimidation in trying. Not even every recipe works out at all, and I think we’ve all been there. So if you feel the need to create some cupcakes, take a visit to Java Cupcake for inspiration.

Here’s a sampling:
Strawberries – You know that time of the year when strawberries are perfect and everywhere and you don’t know what else to do with them? Mmmm. Strawberry Cupcakes.

Peanut Butter Cups – Well, as Betsy says, they aren’t exactly cupcakes, but, ya know, they look like one.

When new recipes go bad – I love this. I’ve had more of my fair share of recipes end up in the trashcan. I love that she showed us.
